Forms, strengths and what the pack declares
A single nutrient can reach you as a tablet, a capsule, an effervescent tablet, an oral liquid, a spray or a loose powder, and the directions differ with each. Listings name the form and the pack count up front; the product page adds the full ingredient panel, the AUST L or AUST R number where the item is a therapeutic good, and the directions printed on the carton.
Mineral formulas quote the elemental weight per dose rather than the weight of the compound, which is why two magnesium or iron products can print very different numbers for the same amount. - Why don't vitamin D and vitamin C have pages of their own any more?
- Each was a category holding two or three items. Those URLs now redirect here, so the whole single-nutrient range sits in one grid rather than on a series of shelves with a handful of products each.
- What is elemental weight, and why does it matter?
- It is the amount of the mineral itself in a dose, as opposed to the total weight of the salt carrying it. Australian packs declare it, so it is the figure to compare between brands. The product page reproduces whatever the manufacturer prints.
- How should these be stored?
- Tablets, capsules and effervescent tubes are stored as the pack directs — most declare a maximum of 25°C or 30°C — out of sunlight, and away from humid rooms such as a bathroom. Drops, oral liquids and sprays follow their own label, and a small number ask to be refrigerated after opening.
- Is everything on this page available without a practitioner?
